Hello my loves !
I feel like I am a little late to the punch talking about this... but, probably cause I have been busy shopping gearing up to wear all of this !
I can typically go through seasons of not finding anything to wear, because I don't like what is on trend - but lately, I have been loving almost all of the trends I'm seeing, partly because I feel what I am seeing is a lot of CLASSIC styles coming back around.
So today I thought I would chit chat about what's on trend right now
BARDOT TOPS :
I typically have shyed away from this style of top, but once I cleared up my acne scarring on my chest, I have been making up for lost time.
There is just something so delicate and feminine about seeing a woman's shoulders and décolleté!
If you are larger chested like myself finding a proper bra to hold those babies in and as flat to your chest is essential in order to not make you appear bigger than you are !
I think this may be my favourite thing this season ! And I have been loving tops that are still very structured with clean lines, but have some element to a frill on it ! I feel like that gives me the best of both worlds. Something structured and maybe a little bit masculine, but such clean lines that I still have a shape, but the feminine flare of the frill that keeps me feeling nice and girly !
BELLE SLEEVES :
I SO struggle with this one - as it is SO hard to find a great belle sleeve top that is long enough in the arms for me - but that being said, I love this trend ! I've opted for a few 3/4 arm length dresses with a belle sleeve lately, to kind satisfy my craving to wear this trend, without it looking like the sleeves are too short for me.
Now I feel that this trend should be taken with a grain of salt - cause I have visited some stores - and it looks like a flower bomb has gone OFF. And as much as an amazing perfume flower bomb is, it's not really the look I'm going for in my wardrobe.
I find soft muted floral tones to be a great, and non offensive way of wearing this trend this year !
And last but not least...
I feel like everywhere I go lately I can find blush tones ! There's something super soft about it ( which is pretty obvious ) but personally I am not a girl who usually runs to the pink tones - but this is one season I can't stay away from it, especially as I keep on lightening my hair - I love the look of the blush and lighter hair more and more !
What are your favourite trends this spring / summer ? If you follow me on Instagram, you can attest to these being some of my favourite trends this season, as i have them on repeat !
