In the month of March podcast lovers like myself are participating in something called TRY POD, where we are recommending some of our favourite podcasts out there.
Now although I already listen to SO many podcasts in which I shared in a previous post... I have totally found a few more new ones this month just due to the fact that other podcasters have been talking about their favourite podcasts ! So, I thought I would do the same, in hopes of bringing YOU just as much joy these ones have brought me.
Here are the new ones that I am absolutely LOVING this month! I love that there is a podcast out there for everyone !
Song Exploder - is a podcast where musicians take apart their songs, and piece by piece, tell the story of how they were made. Each episode is produced and edited by host and creator Hrishikesh Hirway in Los Angeles. Using the isolated, individual tracks from a recording, Hrishikesh asks artists to delve into the specific decisions that went into creating their work. Hrishikesh edits the interviews, removing his side of the conversation and condensing the story to be tightly focused on how the artists brought their songs to life. Past guests include Björk, U2, Iggy Pop, and Carly Rae Jepsen, among many others. In 2016 the Sydney Opera House hosted Song Exploder as an artist-in-residence. The show has been featured at the Sundance Film Festival and SXSW.
Wrongful Conviction With Jason Flom - Wrongful Conviction with Jason Flom is a podcast about tragedy, triumph, unequal justice and actual innocence. Based on the files of the lawyers who freed them, Wrongful Conviction features interviews with men and women who have spent decades in prison for crimes they did not commit - some of them had even been sentenced to death. These are their stories.
Criminal - “Criminal is a true crime podcast that understands crime as something sociological, historical, even anthropological — that crime is a function of people, time, and place. With incredible sound design, marvelous writing, and a boldness in the way it makes its choices, there are few shows that feel more alive.” - New York Magazine
The Art Of Charm - The Art of Charm Podcast is where self-motivated guys and gals, just like you, come to learn from a diverse mix of experienced mentors, including the world's best professional and academic minds, scientists, relationship experts, entrepreneurs, bestselling authors, and other badasses. This show will make you a better networker, better connector, and -- most important -- a better thinker.
... Clearly there is a common denominator between a couple of these podcasts. But hey, what can I say, I love murder mysteries. Seriously... If I had cable, a good 50% of the time it would be left on A&E watching crime shows.
Have you listened to a podcast before ? What is your favourite one ?
